Ϟ I, Meki D, am writing to you on this day that will now live in my heart forever. Today is the day that I officially finished that Harry Potter series for the first time in my life. At 11:59 a.m. this morning, I finished reading.
In the summer of 2011, my best friend,Groovy Girl (http://www.mugglespace.com/profile/GroovyGirl?xg_source=profiles_fr...) , got me interested in the Harry Potter series. I then saw the rest of the movies and started to read the books. I stared to read the 1st book, then I lost the train of thought and quit. After seeing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I wanted to read the book. From there, I started to read. Then on to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which I flew through. Next I read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which ended as I never thought it would. Full of wonder, I read the last and brilliant Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. However, I felt as though I was missing most of the excitement. So, for my 12th Birthday, I got the first three books. I re-read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, which helped explain some. Then, I continued on to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, in which I enjoyed. Lastly, today, I finished reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and now feel complete, however, disappointed.
For the past year, I have gotten use to siting down at night and reading something from that Harry Potter books. Now, it’s all over. J.K. Rowling, you have created a story of friendship, love, hatred, trust, bravery and loyalty that has touched all the readers heart forever. J.K. Rowling, I personally thank you for writing the Harry Potter series, something that has brought hope and love into my life and changed me forever. Now, I wish to be as friendly as Ron, as smart as Hermione, as funny as the twins, as unique as Luna, as fashionable as Cho, as prideful as Percy, as delicate as Draco, as loving as Siruis, as wise as Dumbeldore and, most importantly, as thoughtful, courageous and brave as Harry.
“1090739 words, 3363 pages, 199 chapters, 17 hours and 14 minutes, 8 movies, 7 books and 1 story that live in all who hear or sees hearts forever. GRYFFINDOR, HUFFLEPUFF, RAVENCLAW and SLYTHERIN, all helping make the dream come true. On September 1st 1998 the magic began. Now on July 15th 2011 everything ends. Harry Potter will always live in our hearts. Harry Potter, forever, Harry Potter, 'Always'. ”
J.K. Rowling, you have out done yourself.
"All was well" Ϟ

Comment by Magic Pineapple on April 12, 2013 at 1:34pm Yes, I agree, Harry Potter is awesome. all those people who are like, "It's not as well written as the Lord of the Rings..." (i'm sure you've encountered people like this.) First of all it is just as well written in my opinion, and actually makes more sense. LOTR is about people fighting for a ring that makes you invisible(Harry's cloak) and causes people in black cloaks to try to kill you. I can't see why anyone would want that. Not to mention the giant plot hole with the griffins(but that's understandable, I mean Harry Potter has one with time turners.) But this isn't about comparing it to other series, it is just about how awesome it is. I have found that the LOTR people usually start the argument, probably because they feel insecure about how good their book is. LOTR is a good story, I guess, but(This does all relate to your post) as you said in your post, it is a relatable story, which most other popular series out there (which I have enjoyed, Hunger Games, LOTR...) are not. So, in short this post is awesome, because it says exactly why so many people love the world that JK Rowling has created. In fact, I still remember when I finished reading for the first time. I was eating cheese ravioli and reading at the same time. My comment is pretty long, but basically this post of yours is completely true. The best answer is mine, this is about why Harry Potter will never be replaced. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkauTcDAvauWPRUvp9Kdgj...
Meki D, your post relates to me and I'm sure many many other Harry Potter fans out there. :-)
