About me
I'm one of those people who believe that by reading Harry Potter we can end global warming, achieve world peace, solve all poverty and hunger issues as well as cure all diseases. These are all things I want to achieve when I grow up - even sooner if possible! I'm very unusual in the sense that I love reading and I enjoy school. Everyone who knows me and doesn't like Harry Potter tend to mysteriously end up in an asylum - and not as doctors. I have a lot of other interests but none of them feel quite like Harry Potter. I once cried because Walt Disney is dead. Thanks to a certain three MuggleCasters (cough, Andrew, cough, Matt, cough, Laura, cough, cough) I now have a thing for sparkly vampires.I went through a "I hate Twilight bcuz HP is better!" phase that lasted a week. I also went through a Joe Jonas phase (OMJ!OMJ!), closely followed by a Nick Jonas phase. Thankfully I got over it. In my defence, I'm only 15, when Harry was my age he had a crush on CHO CHANG!

My favorite quotes
Harry

"I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me."

"Cut it out," he said firmly, rubbing the scar as the pain receded again. "First sign of madness, talking to your own head," said a sly voice from the empty picture on the wall.

"It's just hard," Harry said finally, in a low voice, "to realize he won't write me again."

"I realised I can’t shut myself away or crack up. It could be me next, couldn’t it? But if it is, I’ll make sure I take as many Death Eaters with me as I can and Voldemort too, if I can manage it."

"I like a quiet life, you know me."

“I won’t blast people out of my way just because they’re there, that’s Voldemort’s job”

“We go down the trap door – Tonight!” Movie 1

“Dumbledore’s man through and through”

Snape

"Or maybe, he's waiting to hear why you two didn't arrive on the school train."

"Oh, very good," interrupted Snape, his lip curling. "Yes, it is easy to see that nearly six years of magical education have not been wasted on you, Potter. 'Ghosts are transparent.'"

"Always."

“DON’T CALL ME COWARD”

Dumbledore

"I will only truly have left this school when none here are loyal to me... Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it."

"It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."

"Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory."

"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."

"I am not worried, Harry," said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. "I am with you."

"I take my hat off to you--or I would, if I were not afraid of showering you with spiders."

"It is important to fight, and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated."

“Tell me one last thing,” said Harry. “Is this real? Or has this been happening inside my head?”
“Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?”

Hermione

"I hope you're pleased with yourselves. We could all have been killed - or worse, expelled. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to bed."

"Harry--you're a great wizard, you know."
"I'm not as good as you," said Harry, very embarrassed, as she let him go.
"Me!" said Hermione. "Books! And cleverness! There are more important things--friendship and bravery and--oh Harry--be careful!"

"You said to us once before," said Hermione quietly, "that there was time to turn back if we wanted to. We've had time, haven't we?"

"You-complete-arse-Ronald-Weasley!"

None, sadly. I swear it's not MY fault, I just live in the worst place possible for a REAL Potter fan. But I've bought every book since Order of the Phoenix 15 minutes EARLY on each midnight release, since I was the only one there and the book store needed to close!

Things I learned in Hogwarts

Posted on January 10, 2009 at 1:54pm 0 Comments

1. Not all wizards are good.

2. Harry knows OTHER spells as well as Expelliarmus; he just doesn't like to use them!

3. Being invisible makes you short-sighted.

4. ...but it's worth it to be able to pretend that you're the Bloody Baron.

5. Friendship, bravery and being careful are far more important than books and cleverness.

6. Ghosts are transparent.

7. Not even Dumbledore knows all the secrets of Hogwarts.

8. Love is… Continue

Happy Birthday Snivellus!

Love him, hate him, hate to love him, or love to hate him, there is no denying that he was NOT a coward. The complexity, ambiguity and sheer creepiness of his character has started many a never-ending debate on Potter fan sites. Harry named one of his sons after him and every fan, no matter how they felt towards him, learned to respect him deeply before the end. Dumbledore trusted him, Voldemort trusted him and I trusted in J.K. Rowling's story telling enough to not completely distrust him. The… Continue
