Years I've spent,
Alone, and not quite understood.
Not everyone sees my heart and soul;
The love, kindness, joy, and tenderness that lie behind,
The brain, the words.
Amazingly, some have,
Some do see Brandon now.
I'm loved, understood, believed in.
By wonderful friends,
And parents who have always been there.
For all the struggles of life,
I am blessed with magic that shines through the…

This is honestly one of my favourite novels, and a tragically beautiful story. A passionate, ambitious young man's misguided quest to discover the foundations of life, and free mankind from the advances of death, transformed into a hellish journey to free the world (and himself) from the apparent malice of his creation. An abandoned, lonely being despised by humanity and himself for his physical differences, condemned to follow his passions into moral oblivion. Frankenstein is a pure…

When I first picked up this book at the age of 11, little did I know the adventures I was about to embark on. Holly's warning was quite right: "Stay back human. You don't know what you're dealing with." I really didn't, and the warning would foreshadow the emotional upheaval I would experience later on in the series. But back to the happy beginning of Artemis II's moral journey.
Eoin Colfer is a genius. In this book, he blends both literature and film, creating a story that…

Hello, my old friend!
How has life been treating you?
What’s wrong?
I can see your face:
Sad.
Lonely.
Downtrodden.
And yet,
You stand tall, proud, and strong,
Your leaves a bright, lustrous green.
There is so much beauty around you…
Why can I only see tears?
How many years have you stood here, alone?
My heart tells me it wasn’t always this way.
I know you were once…

Ryan Schmidt said… How goes it Mr. Storytraveler. My favorite sports are without a doubt: Hockey, Football, MMA and Wiffleball. It would probably take me a month to list my favorite video games, but a few off the top of my head are: Halo 2, Legend of Zelda: Ocorina of Time and ALL Bioshocks. Books would be every Harry Potter (that goes without saying), A Song of Fire and Ice is a fantastic series and I've recently just begun reading the Top 20 Novels of All Time (according to various google lists.) All of this news about the WWoHP expansion got me intrigued about Harry Potter again so I just signed up for this little social network.
Well hello my fellow Potterhead! My third grade teacher started reading the Sorcerer's Stone to my class during "story time" and I immediately fell in love. I'm not entirely sure what got me into graphic design, I've just been a fan of it for as long as I can remember and when my highscool began offering concurrent enrollment for a tech school as highschool/college credit hours, I signed up immediately and have been doing it ever since. I had no idea places like this existed. i even googled it before to find out and nothing came up. I've been serioulsy missing out!
Lyana J.Winterwind said… Brandon, im so sorry back then I was getting some water. I haven't online for some weeks as I was getting busy with assignments and so on (my lecturers getting mad as they give us the assignment like there are no more subjects than theirs exist in this world ^^" ). However, everything is well. :) I hope you're in a good conditions too! :D
Lou Potter said… Thanks!!! And yep, I'm a nerdfighter. ;) My favorite Doctor is the 10th, David Tennant is soooo cool! :D Who is your favorite?
Walpurgis said… Thanks for the warm welcome! The GoF film might be my least favorite too, so much potential squandered there. I was 13 when I first read the books, when my mom essentially forced me to. I was an unusual kid, purposefully avoiding anything that was too popular, as a rule. She had spent about a week completely engrossed in the four that were available at that point.. then sat me down with SS and told me I couldn't have dinner until I'd finished the first three chapters. It didn't even take that long to get me hooked. 13 years later.. still hooked and proud. That may be much more information than you wanted. :)
Lynn Lestrange-Parkinson said… Bellatrix and Draco are pure bloods and evil and gorgeous why would you not love them.
John Conway said… Hey there. Yes, Ravenclaw ftw :p I've been doing parkour for 8 years now. I'm in Indiana, where does your friend train? Odds are I know him - we all know each other because we are such a small community.
tarren said… i stated watching the harry potter movies when i was younger and started reading the books after that
