Albus followed the Riddleserpens at a safe distance. He didn't know why he wasn't raising the alarm just yet, but he did know that the timing would feel wrong. He would, in due course, raise the alarm. But for now, he was following closely, watching for signs of any other foes. If there were any other Riddleserpens, or fire serpents, or even Mapheria, he would need to know.  If he wasn't careful, and if he was ignorant, he might just find himself following Anna on the path to Mapheria, because if he got caught, Anna would most certainly be rescued. He was being as quiet as possible, scanning the treeline for any signs of intruders as he watched the Riddleserpens continue. As they went into Anna's tent, he couldn't take it anymore. He ran to the center of the camp, and cried out, "Riddleserpens in Anna's tent! They're trying to bust her out of here! I don't think they're alone!" He heard the scuffling of people waking up and moving about. He heard hissing and began to move around the camp. It's harder to hit a moving target. He also shut his eyes and began to listen.

He heard an odd whooshing sound, like something was flying toward him. He thought the odds unlikely, though. "Quickly! We have to stop them! I can't do it myself!" Albus called out and continued to shift around. In a flash, something knocked him to the ground and pinned him there. As he felt it, he concluded it was a net or mesh of some sort. He kept quiet, he didn't want the one who launched it to get evidence from himself that the net had met its mark. As he heard the scuffle of something coming toward him, he began to panic. He hoped that it was someone from the camp coming to free him, but he thought otherwise because there wasn't anyone outside the tents before he closed his eyes a moment ago, and he didn't hear enough scuffling to think that that was it. He cursed quietly; how had he been so foolish to not go for help at first and not go by himself? Didn't he see what the reformed accusers did to the one at Mapheria's camp when someone raised the alarm? He could only hope that whomever it was that launched the net would see who he was before doing anything else. For a fleeting moment, he was glad to be who he was, because if it was any one of Mapheria's or Morispho's followers, they would not kill him. He waited as people began pouring out of their tents toward Anna's tent, and away from where Albus was...

A couple hours later, Albus was awoken by the sound of movement outside his tent. Gathering a sleeping Jesmian and placed him in the pocket of his sleeping gown. He then gathered up his wand and stepped halfway out the entrance to his tent and looked to see where the sounds were coming from.

He could see the moons shinning high above, there light shinning down in the sleeping camp bellow. Against the light of the moons, Albus caught figures running off in the distance. Dark, black figures, who's shapes he clearly recognized. These figures were Riddleserpens. But instead of raising the alarm, Albus decided to move quietly and investigate on his own. Soon, he could hear two of the Riddleserpens talking to one another in the dark. Albus listened as the two Riddleserpens whispered amongst each other, "Lady Anna is this way, come."

"Quiet, We don't wanna wake the camp."

"Come. We need to get her out of here before the raid tomorrow. Come."

Albus could see the Riddleserpens following one another by the light of the moon. Albus soon began to follow them, going towards the tent where Anna was being held.*...

Abigail rolled up the parchment, hid it in her robes and spoke, "No need to leave, Albus. Gillia has decided to move the camp to a more secure location before Mapheria and Bronsal get here. However, we won't be able to move the camp until morning. So we'll have to assign scouts and guard duties to watch the boundaries till it is time to move the camp. But as for you, Albus. You and Jesmian are going back to bed. I will wake you when it is time to go."

Abigail then looked at Hansmerelda, who was standing in the front door of her cottage looking on. Abigail then nodded at her, who then nodded back.

Abigail then looked down at Albus and spoke, "Let's get back to the camp Albus and get you back to bed."

Abigail then turned around and began walking off towards the camp as Albus looked at Hansmerelda one last time and smiled at her, then turned and began following Abigail back towards the camp as Jesmian soon slithered back into Albus's robes and hid. Albus then spoke as he caught up with Abigail.*...

"On the contrary, it is not Morispho. It seems that Mapheria has formed an alliance with Bronsal and have merged their forces into one, at least until she gets her daughter back. Though I am sure Mapheria will be quite peeved when she finds out that Bronsal is Morispho's fire serpent and she's doing everything in her power to avoid Morispho."...

"Bronsal and his clan plan to raid the camp some time tomorrow, likely sometime around noon. And guess who is with him this time?"...

Abigail sighed as she brought her bowl down again and Hansmerelda sat down at the table with Albus and Abigail, holding her own bowl of stew and listening, "Yes, that's true. But who's to say that you won't ever meet them someday? Their are methods my boy, ways that you can meet them. For example, you can see them in the portraits and meet them that way. Though of course you wouldn't be able to touch them, that's the down side to that. Hummm, I remember that the lat time I saw your mother she didn't look pregnant, so the vision you had is obviously a future event of some sort, but since your parents are dead it will be occurring in the Spirit World. But at least they will be alive in some sense. But I am waiting for that message from the Listeners."

Hansmerelda are some stew then brought down her bowl and spoke, "Oh, yes. The Listeners, the Fringes equivalent of spirit messengers, they usually attach their messages to Spirit Lanterns."

Hansmerelda then noticed something outside her back window and spoke, "And it just so happens that I see a Spirit Lantern floating in my back yard, just outside the window next to you."

Abigail looked and saw a Spirit Lantern floating away from the window and floating around to the side of the cottage. Abigail instantly stood up and went running out the door after it. Albus soon followed. Then, just as the spirit lantern reached the end of the path going towards the camp, Abigail ran up to it, leaped up and snatched it out of the air.

Albus spoke as he ran up to Abigail, who then let the Spirit Lantern float away freely before turning around to face Albus and opened a rolled up piece of parchment. Upon looking at the message on the parchment, she narrowed her eyes, brought it down and spoke, "Me and Gillia knew it. We just knew it!"....

Abigail lifted her bowl of stew and spoke, "Oh, nothing I am sure. And as for that vision if your parents, it's not uncommon for those stuck in the Fringes to see visions or have dreams of their loved ones passed on. It's nothing to be concerned about Albus, it's a good thing to have those visions. Here, it's best you eat you stew now before it gets cold. Like so."

Abigail raised her bowl up to her mouth with both hands and began eating.*...

Abigail sat down her bowl of stew as she continued, "I'm afraid avoiding Bronsal will be impossible in the future. Knowing Morispho he's probably looking for him so that he can come after you again. And it is Bronsal's bloodright to claim Jesmian as his heir, that is if he knew about him. But luckily he may never know about him. Besides, we aren't about to let you loose Jesmian again without a fight."

Hansmerelda continued, "Personally I'd rather see Bronsal dethroned before seeing one of of his children take over. But just so you know, if he does find out that Jesmian is his son, he'll stop at nothing to claim him. He wants one of his children to take over the Southnear Clan, one of his own blood that he can mold into shape easily, to rule the clan like he does. He doesn't want a stranger taking over and knowing Bronsal, he'll do everything in his power to prevent a stranger from taking over, when the time comes that is."...

Hansmerelda continued, "Well, you see my boy, Bronsal doesn't have any heirs to his throne right now. At least none that he knows of. And he is considered an old sire now, he's nearly 1,500 years old. If he knew about Jesmian, he might just come slithering around wanting to claim him. And I am sure you don't want that to happen."...

Abigail glared at Albus as she picked up her bowl of stew as Jesmian spoke, "Master Albus knows who my father is? I never knew my father. I wasn't even hatched yet. My father belonged to this Morispho? I did not know that my father had a rider."

Hansmerelda then spoke, "Oh dear. Well, that does complicate things a little bit."...
