Why? Why?! WHY!!!!!!!

Why do we love this series so much? Why is it that we can't stop reading it? Its like a drug... it consums us and we just can't stop... why? Why?! WHY!!!!!!

I make references to HP all the time and my friends and fam dont get it or shake their head at me, but i dont care, if i want to love something, its my business, and no one will stop me.

Ah! I can't go through a day without making SOME sort of reference to Harry. I went to NYC with my class and they pointed things out randomly and I linked every single thing to the book somehow. It's crazy..but I love it.

My fam and friends say i have an un-healthy obsession too, but i dont care. I made a reference to something the other day, and my co-worker said" it must be that potter stuff."

because it was a wonderful and much-needed escape from my suckish pathetic life. i personally think it kept me sane and grounded. my mother forbid me to read them after book 5 because she said i was obsessed and the books were "demonic"...yet, i still managed to finish all the books ;).

the books are captivating. period.

Well I can only make a guess but I believe that it has something to do with the fact that it has a bit of everything. Almost everyone can connect with someone/ Something in the harry potter books (for example I connect with most of the characters) Then with said connection in mind we the reader want to know what is going to happen to the characters we have grown to love. Thus making us 'addicted' to the books. Sorry to anyone who disagrees it's just what I think.
