Permalink Reply by Kate on March 15, 2010 at 3:22pm Ah! I can't go through a day without making SOME sort of reference to Harry. I went to NYC with my class and they pointed things out randomly and I linked every single thing to the book somehow. It's crazy..but I love it.

You know what bugs me....I was determined to hate it. Because I've grown up being taught to hate it...dont' ask. So I was all for hating it when I read it. And now I love it. It's so weird. I can't stop talking about it. People get annoyed with me.
yeah. you know when you have to do those icebreaker things in school, and you go arround in a circle telling what your fav thing is. well...you can guess what mine is...HARRY POTTER!!! all of my fwiends say that my obession with the series is incredibly unhelthy! i also pritty much relate everything in my life to harry potter. every letter i get in the mail is like 'oh my gosh! harry got letters by owl. wouldnt that be cool if we did?!' and etcetra... i mean really. what is up with us. we really need rehab. they should make a harry-potter-obessesd-rehab-home (HPORH - hahaha). but im not sure that having a bunce of hp crazed people in one place is such a good idea either. lol.

Permalink Reply by The person that is me! on February 22, 2012 at 8:02pm Well I can only make a guess but I believe that it has something to do with the fact that it has a bit of everything. Almost everyone can connect with someone/ Something in the harry potter books (for example I connect with most of the characters) Then with said connection in mind we the reader want to know what is going to happen to the characters we have grown to love. Thus making us 'addicted' to the books. Sorry to anyone who disagrees it's just what I think.
