His face fell when she winced. He laid his hand gently on her chest, feeling her heart beat under his hand. "Whatever it takes" he whispered, as he continued to feel her heart beat.

I smiled softly and brought my hand up placing it over his that was over my heart. " I'll slowly get worse and worse over the next few months, it'll get to the point where I'll be on life support because my heart won't pump enough oxygen and my lungs won't let me breath, and the chance of me getting a transplant donor is low, even if I do the risks are high and I might die. You can turn and walk out of this room, live your life fall in love with someone you know will stay with you forever, I wouldn't blame you if you did" I said softly and breathlessly, I loved him, but I loved him so much I was willing to let him live a normal life.

"I won't leave you, I won't." He whispered, feeling her hand on his. He felt relief as her heart still continued to beat. He looked back up at her face, a small smile. "Your going to get a donor, I promise. Even if I have to pry it from someone, or give you mine" he said quickly.

I smiled softly and took my hand away from his then I put my fingers to my lips and then pressed them to his since I couldn't sit up to kiss him. I knew he was trying to make me feel better but I had always known if I did agree to the transplant I would most likely die before I was able to get it. " The offer remains open" I whispered, if he ever wanted to live a normal life he could leave.

"The offer is closed, done and gone" he said. He smiled, holding her hand tight. "Were gonna have to find one" he commented, giving her hand another squeeze. "I'll be back" he said and bent down, kissing her on the cheek. He hated leaving, but he'd return. He found the doctor right outside the room, approaching him.

I sighed and watched him leave, once he was gone I looked up at the ceiling fighting to keep myself awake, I listened the the beating of my own heart and I knew it would soon be much slower.

The doctor turned around as Peter approached him, he had just gotten the test results back and was heading back to laurens room " Can I help you?" he asked

"I was wondering If I could possibly get tested" he said. "Incase things get worse, and if she wants the surgery. She can have mine" he said simply. He knew this seem'd like a whole love story movie. But this was real, this was life or death and he wanted her to live even if he had to die.

The doctor chuckled and placed a strong hand on peters shoulder " I know this must be hard for you but we only take major organs from those who are dead, and son personally I think she would die if she found out you died for her. But we can have you tested, if your blood is compatible then you can give her your blood, when she gets worse her blood will almost be like poison and so she'll be regular transplants" he said with a smile

He smiled a bit, looking down at his feet. "Perfect" he said, he'd give as much as he could. He only hoped their blood was compatible, he wanted to help her. In anyway possible. He nodded to the doctor, before reentering Laurens room and closing the door behind him. He walked back over to her, grabbing her hand again.

The drugs that the doctor had given me were starting to take effect and my eyes were slightly hazed over as peter came into the room and grabbed my hand, I wanted to sleep so bad my eyes and body felt like lead. No matter, I couldn't fall asleep, i had already shortened my time I didn't want to add to that.

He saw her eyes, starting to close. "Lauren" He whispered. Last time she fell asleep, she'd gotten extremely worse. He couldn't let that happen. He placed his hand on her face again, calling her name more frequently. He felt so powerless right now, weak. He kissed her smooth cheek.

I heard my name being called and I fought against the haze that clouded my mind but the drug was stronger then me at the moment and I could feel myself losing " I can't stay awake" I whispered my voice even sounding drugged and slightly slurred thanks to whatever I had been given,
